Relieve burning sensation in the feet / soles and palms with these remedies

Some people experience a burning sensation in their feet on hot summer days. No need to panic or resort to medications in such cases. These simple cures will help counteract this problem.



* This burning sensation in the feet as well as in your palms can be relieved by the use of henna leaves. Grind henna leaves into a fine paste and apply the same over the soles. Allow the paste to stay on for a few hours. If henna leaves are not available, you can use henna powder (buy from here) instead.



* Applying the paste of henna (mehendi) and vinegar/lemon-juice too can cure this problem.

* Take a handful of neem flowers and soak them in a cup of water overnight. Next morning, squeeze the flowers in water and strain the liquid through a piece of cloth. Drink this liquid in small doses several times a day for 4-5 days. This is also helpful in warding off the burning sensation in the eyes along with the burning sensation felt at the palms and the soles of the feet.

*Kokum butter (buy from here) applied on the soles can relieve the sensation of burning in the feet to a great extent.

* Take one teaspoonful of powdered ginger (adrak) and boil it with a cup of milk which has been diluted with water until the milk alone remains. Add brown sugar (buy from here) or jaggery (buy from here) to taste. Use this recipe for 5-6 days.

*The paste of fresh leaves of bitter gourd (karela) or its juice rubbed on the soles can also provide respite.

    After walking, immediately change out of your shoes and socks, allowing the shoes to dry.
    Soak your feet in cool water - do not use ice.
    Pain relievers such as aspirin or acetaminophen
    Try changes in your shoes, socks, and insoles
    Rotate your shoes and socks, both between walking sessions and during the day.See your doctor for a checkup and mention the problem as well as any tingling, numbness, etc. in hands or other areas

    For aching feet, make yourself an Herbal Foot Bath or rub a peppermint lotion or salve on your feet. Wrap a warm towel around your feet and enjoy.
