Sunglasses according to the shape of your face

sunglasses1So you need to buy a pair of trendy sunglasses. And why not? The harmful UV rays of the hot summer sun can play havoc on your delicate eyes. Besides, itโ€™s highly recommended by ophthalmologists that one should go in for some form of protective eye-gear during summer, especially if one has to spend long hours in the sun. You do want your eyes to last you for a lifetime. Donโ€™t you? Moreover when one is out in the sun, one tends to squint and screw up the face to avoid the glare and over a period of time this grimacing etches out fine lines around the mouth, eyes and forehead. So one should wear sunglasses, if one wants to avoid premature ageing of the skin.

For a round face, a square shape frame will look best. If you have Square face choose a round frames. Long narrow face can use wrap around oval frames. Some sunglasses have mirrored coating on the outer surface. The color of the mirrored surface is irrelevant to the color of the lens. These types of sunglasses are called mirror shades.Always buy sunglasses with UV Protection.

Make sure that you pick sunglasses that form to the actual shape of your face.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when they buy sunglasses is buying ones that are to large/wide for their facial structure.

For example, if you have a wider face, Dolce and Gabbana makes a few good pairs, but if you have a longer face, then Oakley's may be the way to go.

When it comes down to it though, pick a pair you like, don't choose a pair you hate because you think others will like them

Some of the counterfeit products from China are so good, the average person cannot tell the difference.
The best way would be to go to a quality store and look at the exact model you want. Study it carefully. Then compare it mentally with the one you are about to purchase and see if there is any difference.
High end sunglasses have high quality lenses. There is not distortion. So if the fake is a poor fake, then you can hold the lens up to a straight line in the distance and see if it looks wavy when you move the sunglasses back and forth.

I have a round face with big cheeks, and big sunglasses look really stupid on me. Women with thinner faces look better with big shades, like Paris Hilton. It takes a lot of trying different pairs before I find the right ones. For some reason the larger rectangle kind are the best for me. Small ones look dumb and so do the huge ones that make me look like a fly. Maybe Iโ€™m a exception to the rule that small faces need small glasses and big faces need big glasses.

Opt for lightweight, plastic, shatterproof sunglasses if you're going to be wearing them when playing sports.
