Skin toning lotion with grapefruit

Would you like to try your hand at this home made toning lotion using grapefruit? This toner is especially suited for oily and sensitive skin. A harsh-astringent lotion can only irritate your skin. So why not go in for a mild concoction like this. Skin toners as such have an evaporating and cooling action that causes muscles to contract and pores to shrink temporarily. Besides, toning is pleasant and refreshing and is valuable in removing traces of grease that the cleanser may have left.

You should use cotton wool with astringent lotions. You should rub your face with potato piece and wash it off after 15-20 minutes. Mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 3 tablespoons of rose water and 1 tablespoon of glycerin. After this rub this juice on your face and neck. Mix one tablespoons of rose oil with two liters of purified water. Toner is ready and pour it into a bottle and store in a refrigerator for a long time.

tips: When applying toner avoid the eye area
Some harsh ingredients in the toner may cause irritation characterized by redness, itching, burning, and peeling. If your skin is sensitive look for a rosewater facial toner Never rub your skin when applying facial toner. A toner containing alcohol can dry out your skin. Always apply the toner to a cleansed face
