Homemade daytime nourishing creams

Daytime skin care is as essential as night time skin care. A really good nourishing cream should be used to pamper and feed the skin. Night time skin creams are a tad heavier than daytime skin creams. Daytime creams however are light, do not attract dirt and hence, they can be used comfortably during the day. Here are 2 such recipes for making daytime nourishing creams.

Cucumber nourishing cream

Ingredients:

Cucumber juice 4 tsp
Tincture of benzoin 1 tsp
Distilled water 25 ml

Method:

Mix all the ingredients well. Place in a refrigerator for 5-6 hours before applying on the face and neck. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off. Effective for all types of skin.

Oatmeal nourishing cream

Ingredients:

Egg yolk 2 eggs
Honey 1 tbsp
Lanolin 1 cup
Oatmeal 1 cup
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Tincture of benzoin ยฝ tsp

Method:

Beat the yolks of the eggs really well and mix with honey, lanolin, lemon juice and oatmeal. Stir in tincture of benzoin. Store it in a bottle in a refrigerator. Whenever you want, just take a dollop of it in your palm and massage on the face, neck and forehead with a circular motion and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash off with luke warm water. Good and effective for dry skins.

    Neutrogena Cream for Sensitive Skin works wonders. It's oil free and helps create a lot of moisture without shine. You would just apply a quarter size amount to your hand and then rub over your entire face and neck. You should use it at LEAST every morning, but every morning and night is even better

    Almond nourishing CreamThis is a good recipe for blemished and rugged skin.
    Soak 15-20 almonds overnight and grind to a paste. Mix this with 100 gm yogurt. Apply this evenly on your face and neck. After one hour, wash it with lukewarm water.
