Homemade lotions for hands

In a bid to save a few bucks donโ€™t go in for cheap products available in the market and ruin your skin in the process. Just assemble a few natural and herbal ingredients from your home to get a โ€˜homemade productโ€™ and work your way to a better skin. The purpose of homemade lotions and potions is to give you great results without making a big hole in your pocket. The idea is to make these in lesser quantities so that you can use it fresh each time. The amount of care and dedication that you put in while making these concoctions combined with the potent effects of the natural ingredients almost make it more efficacious than the expensive cosmetics and lotions.

Here are two recipes to make hand lotions from the comforts of your home and with the most available ingredients.

Recipe #1

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons rose water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoons glycerin

Method:

Add glycerin and lemon juice to rose water. Stir well. Massage it on your hands and arms. Wash off with water after 10-15 minutes. Store excess in the refrigerator.

Recipe #2

Ingredients:

2 ยฝ teaspoon honey
2 ยฝ teaspoon glycerin
2 ยฝ tsp barley powder
1 egg white
4 tablespoons rose water

Method:

Combine all the ingredients and mix really well to get a thick paste. Apply all over your hands and arms lavishly. Rinse off with lukewarm water when dry.

Always remember to keep your hands clean. Pamper them and care for them on a regular basis by nourishing them with good hand creams and lotions. Also exercise them to keep them flexible. And you will have smooth, youthful, slender and graceful hands/arms which will defy your age.

    Vitamin E oil is well known for skin care. Its superb antioxidant moisturizer attribute heals dry skin and fills up the fissures. Just take one or two vitamin E capsules, nip off the tip of the vitamin E capsule and apply the oil contained within it onto your cracked hands.     Pure lanolin, jojoba oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter and Shea butter are wonderful natural moisturizers.
