Sugar as beauty aid

You need not ban sugar from your life completely. In fact, there are certain good things about sugar for you to consider. For instance, aloe-sugar syrup works as a good antidote for pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS) and delayed periods. If you are still keen on avoiding sugar in your diet, then why not consider using it as a beauty aid

spoonful of sugar
Sugar based scrubs and exfoliating masks are the rage these days. This exfoliant suggested for shedding flaky skin is quite popular. All you have to do is blend one part sugar to four parts of any body lotion (you can mix it up right in your palm). Then smooth the mixture on elbows, heels, hands and any rough parts of your skin. The more you rub, the more the sugar dissolves, so you donโ€™t run the risk of over-exfoliating. Alternatively, you can use olive oil or any vegetable oil with sugar and massage well into your hands and other rough areas, including your dark knees. These will not just clean your hands and knees of any ingrained dirt but will impart smoothness as well. And if you choose to remove the superfluous fuzz from your arms and legs by waxing, you know that sugar is one of the key ingredients used in preparing the wax.

For a kinder, gentler head-to-toe scrubbing, mix a cup of sugar with enough water to make a paste. Then, use fingers or a washcloth to work it over the skin.sugary lips

Wait, thereโ€™s more. Hereโ€™s a tip to keep your lipstick from chafing off. After you finish applying your lipstick, you have to put a bit of sugar on your lips, keep it on for 30 seconds and then lick it off. Now, isnโ€™t that an easy, inexpensive way of retaining your lipstick for a longer period.

Yogurt can be used as a natural beauty aid. Apply yogurt to your face every morning, then wash it off after a few minutes with cold water. It will keep your complexion smooth and fresh looking. Applying a mixture of yogurt and lemon juice to your skin will soften them.

Home remedies for sleeplessness

The day dawns beautifully for those who have had a night of good sleep. But the same day drags on for those who have spent a disturbing, sleepless night. Sleep is a biological necessity even as eating and drinking are. Sufficient sleep renders a person normally sociable, lively and high-spirited. Itโ€™s a natureโ€™s way of rejuvenating the person for the next day. Realize all this, and make sleep a physiological habit. The consequences of long time sleep deprivation can be very grave. Lack of sleep takes its toll on the skin and hair. It causes acne-breakouts and makes one look aged and haggard beyond years. Experts opine that during sleep as our metabolic rate falls, blood goes to those areas which need the most repairing. This also steps up the production of collagen and keratin, which aid the regeneration of skin cells and help resist premature ageing. So for a younger looking and a problem free skin you need to have a good quality of sleep every night.

Pore shrinking mask recipes from home

A face with large open pores when seen from close quarters doesnโ€™t look so good. While itโ€™s quite common for oily skins to have a tendency towards open pores, an attack of pimples also leaves ugly scars and open pores behind.  Even though the scars may fade away after some time, open pores appear to be more obstinate and hardly show any signs of shrinking.  Age also takes its toll by giving an uneven/pigmented tone to the skin and making the open pores more prominent. Heredity could also be a contributing factor in determining your pore size. Itโ€™s not easy to get rid of these pores or shrink them completely or permanently using serums, lotions or face packs. Even resorting to drastic chemical/surgical procedures at the dermatologistโ€™s isnโ€™t quite capable of giving satisfactory results.  Nevertheless, you can try and minimize their appearance at least temporarily with clever makeup and a few natural skin care masks such as these: * Cleanse your face with a mild ...
