This time, I’ll be giving away an amazing grooming product ‘The Swerve’ to one of my lucky readers. If you have been using a traditional razor to shave your face but finding it not so convenient to shave the back of your neck or your upper body with it, 'The Swerve neck razor' is just the perfect device for you. Now here's a wonderful chance to win one single pack and a triple pack of 'The Swerve' through a simple contest on this blog. Enter now!! Ladies, this wonderful grooming tool, essentially designed for men is a cool product to be gifted to your man, so all of you just go ahead and enter the giveaway without any qualms.
What’s The Swerve?
It’s the world’s first “full body groomtool”, an ergonomically designed razor ideal for shaving hard to reach spots like the back of your neck and upper body. The patent pending designed Swerve contains a triple-action blade for swift cutting precision and a lubricating strip to help it glide smoothly along your body. Shaving with the Swerve is much easier than trying to maneuver a regular razor behind your neck or having to bother your significant other to shave you.
Use the Swerve weekly to keep your swerve appeal. Replace it every four-six weeks or when the blade begins to dull. The Swerve comes in a unique, flexible storage tube making it a great travel companion. See how 'The Swerve' works through this video.

Multani face packs from Banjara Herbals
Categorised under: aloe, Body and spa, Face packs and masks, products, Skin, Summer 4 commentsAn amazing cleansing mask for summer months is a mud pack – preferably a Multani Mitti face pack; it draws out excessive oil, sweat and grime from the pores and leaves the skin cleansed and free from blackheads. Two such Multani face packs from Banjara Herbals seem good.
Multani with AloeVera face pack
Aloevera is an awesome herb with soothing and moisturizing properties and when combined with Multani mitti (fuller’s earth), it helps remove impurities from the skin surface without affecting its moisture balance. As such this is a powerful re-hydrant cleansing pack that is not only effective for dry skins but also for all skin types. It’s even mentioned that you can add a tsp of honey for additional moisturization and a soothing effect.

Multani with Rose face pack
This combination of Multani mitti and Rose Petal Powder is supposed to be an anti-ageing formula utilizing protein rich compound. Rose petal powder is believed to soften coarse skin to give it a near perfect porcelain effect along with a luxurious aroma.

Raktha Chandan soap :Review
Categorised under: Body and spa, products, review, Summer 6 commentsI’m fascinated by the medicinal and cosmetic benefits of Rakta Chandan (Red Sandalwood) and apply its paste whenever an ugly pimple sprouts up and I must admit that it dries up the zit exceedingly well and the paste (Red Sandalwood Chips /Red Sandalwood powder) itself in combination with Rose water, when used as a face pack, is extremely cooling and soothing to the skin. Incidentally both sandalwood (chandan) and red sandalwood with their antibacterial and coolant properties are ideal for dealing with summer skin woes. So when I happened to notice this soap named as Nagarjuna Raktha Chandan soap at a mall, I immediately purchased it.
The main ingredient of this soap is oil extract of Red Sandalwood (Pterocarpus santalinus) and it’s free from animal fat. Further, it’s mentioned on the label that it’s highly beneficial for an acne-prone skin and for relieving prickly heat, itching and other skin allergies. It even claims to get rid of dark spots and blemishes ( this seems a bit exaggerated to me). I’ve been using Nagarjuna Raktha Chandan soap for over a month now. It has that typical red sandalwood smell; the smell lingers on after the bath and it feels good; my skin seems to like it. Apparently, my skin didn’t break out as much these days and I haven’t been bothered by prickly heat rashes – this could have been due to the reason that I do take care of my skin in other ways too. Overall it’s a wonderful soap for pimply skins and in summers and a good buy for just Rs.13/-

DermiCool prickly heat powder:Review
Categorised under: Body and spa, products, review, Skin, skin affliction, Summer 11 commentsPrickly heat is the bane of summer months. While these home-remedies help combat prickly heat to a greater extent, you could also try commercially available prickly heat powders/talc like DermiCool to fight this menace. DermiCool, a prickly heat powder from Paras Pharmaceuticals imparts a refreshing, cooling sensation in those extremely hot, sweaty summers. This powder with its mentholated formulation is literally ‘cool’ and provides instant relief from intolerable heat and excessive sweating with its cool, soothing effect. After a nice, long cold-water bath, just sprinkle DermiCool all over your body, especially those parts which are prone to more sweating and prickly heat bumps. The powder is quite smooth and doesn’t irritate the skin. As you dust the powder over your skin, you experience that instant coolness, almost like tiny air-conditioners cooling your body.
Some of the herbal ingredients in DermiCool: Jasat Bhasma (Zinc Oxide), Tankan Amla, Salicylic Acid, Yavanala Satva, Surasar (alcohol), Pudinah Ark (mint decoction). DermiCool comes in two variants – Lavender and Sandalwood.
